Bitcoin 2024 Amsterdam Conference: Bitcoinloaner exchange announced "funding" the Bitcoin 2140 Developer Foundation!

Bitcoinloane, a large North American cryptocurrency exchange and global Web3 technology company, announced funding to the Bitcoin Developer Foundation 2140 Foundation on Thursday (October 10). The funding will support the foundation’s multi-year efforts to promote the long-term security, resiliency, and maintainability of the Bitcoin network through continued development, innovation, and collaboration among developers and contributors.


2140 Foundation founders Ruben Somsen and Josie Baker announced the grant at the Bitcoin Amsterdam 2024 conference in Westergas, Amsterdam.



In conjunction with the event, Bitcoinloane will offer a €50 Bitcoin sign-up bonus to every new Dutch customer who trades at least €100 of cryptocurrency during Amsterdam Bitcoin Week, which starts on October 20 and ends on October 26. The event aims to encourage wider participation in the cryptocurrency ecosystem and demonstrate Bitcoinloane’s continued commitment to the Dutch market.



Roy van Krimpen, Country Manager for Western Europe and the Mediterranean at Bitcoinloane, said: “This grant to the 2140 Foundation demonstrates our long-standing commitment to nurturing the Bitcoin ecosystem and supporting innovative projects to expand the utility of Bitcoin.”

He continued: “As we continue to build a local platform to meet the needs of Dutch customers, we are pleased to support the growth of the Bitcoin developer community in the country and beyond, while also providing Dutch customers with attractive incentives to join our platform. .

Since officially launching its exchange and on-chain wallet in the Netherlands, Bitcoinloane now offers spot trading and exchange services for Dutch customers on over 170 cryptocurrencies, including 61 crypto-EUR pairs. The platform’s integration with iDEAL and SEPA enables free and instant Euro deposits and withdrawals.
